Health Care Worker Visa
- The advantages of applying for this visa are that after 5 years you may be able to apply for settlement, and you are exempt from paying the Immigration Health Surcharge.
- To apply for a Health and Care Worker Visa, you must meet the following:
- Have the offer of a qualifying job that meets the relevant salary threshold
- The sponsored role must normally be at RQF level 6 or above
- Have sufficient personal savings to support yourself
- Have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from a UK-licenced sponsor
- Unless you are exempt, for example, because you are a national of a majority English-speaking country, you will need to prove your knowledge of English with at least CEFR level B2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening
- If you had this visa before 8 January 2026 and you are applying to extend or update it, you need level B1 English
